Introduction: Hello, ladies and gentlemen! Tony Holowitz here, and I’m delighted to share with you a helpful Act tip. Have you ever felt frustrated by default calendar time increments not aligning with your preferred scheduling intervals? In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to easily customize Act’s calendar time increments to better suit your needs. Let’s get started!

Step 1: Accessing Calendar Preferences

  1. Click on “Tools” in the Act toolbar.
  2. Scroll down and select “Preferences” from the dropdown menu.
  3. In the Preferences window, click on “Calendar & Activities.”

Step 2: Modifying Daily Calendar Time Increments

  1. In the Calendar & Activities section, click on “Calendar Preferences.”
  2. By default, the daily calendar increments might be set to 30 minutes.
  3. Choose your desired time increment; for example, select “60 minutes” if you prefer one-hour intervals.
  4. Click “OK” to apply the change.

Step 3: Adjusting Workweek Calendar Time Increments

  1. In the Calendar & Activities section, click on “Calendar Preferences” again.
  2. Look for the “Workweek” tab in the preferences window.
  3. Similar to the daily calendar, you can set the time increments for the workweek calendar. Choose “15 minutes” for 15-minute intervals.
  4. Click “OK” to save the changes.

Step 4: Check the Updated Calendar

  1. Navigate back to your Act calendar to see the changes take effect.
  2. Now, your calendar should display time increments according to your preferences, making scheduling much more convenient.

Conclusion: By following these simple steps, you can easily customize Act’s calendar time increments to match your preferred intervals for meetings and appointments. Whether you prefer 15-minute, 30-minute, or one-hour increments, Act allows you to tailor the calendar to your specific needs.
