I have never been a big fan of ACT sales opportunities because I’ve always felt it was a time consuming activity in ACT. Many of my clients and students are small businesses and a lot of what they would enter was something easily remembered or noted elsewhere.
Sales opportunities can be beneficial if you have hired a new salesperson and are looking to track what they are doing or if you are reporting complex sales information to others. Honestly, my heart is not in recommending sales opportunities so I’ve found an excellent video created by a fellow ACT consultant. Please watch this video to learn more about sales opportunities:

Tony Holowitz: ACT Certified Consultant & Software Teacher
I love to teach people about ACT! Software by Swiftpage (previously owned by Sage). My free ACT training video tutorials are better than classes because you can watch them over and over again.
Many people that use ACT are small business people. My experience has been that people trying to learn about ACT face two obstacles. First, they have to learn about the software; the mechanics of ACT. Second, they have to figure out what they’ve learned and then decide how to apply it to their needs. How do you use ACT to keep in touch with contacts? What are the fundamentals of ACT? How do you sell from ACT? How do you put ACT on multiple computers and share the data? These are just some of the questions you’ll be confronted with.
I offer ACT users one-hour of my time for free to discuss anything about ACT. So take me up on the offer and I’ll teach you how to ACT. Thanks.
