Hi ladies and gentlemen, this is Tony Holowitz from 365 act tips and Tonytheteacher.com. In my previous tutorial, I talked about creating a contact out of, out of an email and outlook, creating a contact and act. I also showed you how to schedule an activity based on an email in outlook, but scheduling that in act. So on that note, in this tutorial, I want to talk about a couple of these items up here. First, the attached act contacts and the quick attach, what the quick attach will do is in essence, what act is going to do anyway, it’s going to take an email and quickly attach it to the corresponding contacts and act to have matching email addresses. So that will happen behind the scenes. If you let act run its course, it might not happen immediately, but it will work to illustrate that a little bit more.

What I’m going to do is I’m going to come up here and I’m going to click first on this one, attach that contacts. Now this is more, let’s say you want to attach this contact, not specifically to the contact whose email address matches a contact and act, but let’s say you want to send it and attach it to multiple contacts. Well, what I could do is I could grab a bunch of these contacts, send ’em over and now I did that wrong. I’d take that back. Let me send them all. I’m just going to send these over. I’d selected everything and I don’t want to do that, but if I want to attach this email to all these contacts, I can do that by clicking. Okay. I could also create a new contact. If that contact isn’t an act. What I did originally is I clicked on the double arrows and it took all my contacts and threw it over to the right.

So again, if I want to attach that email to multiple contacts, but not just the specific contact whose email address matches, this is how I do it. I’m going to click cancel by doing a quick attach. I can simply click on this and behind the scenes, it’s going to tell us messages will be attached to contacts. If I had multiple messages, I could select multiple messages. I’m going to click. Okay. But then I’m going to come down here to this little area on my toolbar, this little envelope with the REDX, I’m going to right click on this. Let me right, click. Here we go. And I’m going to click on show progress and what this is going to do. It’s going to illustrate or show the progress of what has occurred or what’s about to occur. It will tell me who’s been attached and who hasn’t. So this is a great way to learn a little bit more about these items and how they work and simply attach these items as you see fit. And again, there it is right now, it told me it was attached. And if I want to see messages that are not attached, I can come here and for whatever reason, address those, my name is Tony Holowitz. Thank you very much. Have a great day.
