Act 6.0 Act Tabs are Missing: How to Fix

by | Aug 7, 2023 | Act CRM Software Fundamentals

Hi everyone! It’s Tony Holowitz here, and today I’ve got a simple tutorial for those who are still using Act 6.0 and facing an issue with the disappearing tabs. Believe it or not, Act 6.0 is still in use, and one of my clients, Orazio, recently ran into this problem. So, I’m going to show you how to get those missing tabs back.

The Problem: Missing Tabs

In Act 6.0, the tabs you see down below the interface might suddenly disappear. It’s a layout issue that can be easily fixed. Here’s a step-by-step guide to understand the problem and the solution:

  1. Identifying the Issue: You might notice that the tabs at the bottom are missing. They are hidden due to the resizing of the screen’s top and bottom halves.

  2. The Grey Bar: This is where the magic happens. You’ll find a grey bar right at the top. When you put your pointer on it, you’ll get a two-headed arrow.

The Solution: Bringing Back the Tabs

Here are the steps you can follow to bring the tabs back:

  1. Click and Hold: Click and hold the grey bar and then drag it down or up to resize the top and bottom half of the screen.

  2. Avoid Going Too Far: If you drag the bar all the way to the bottom too far, it blocks the tabs. So, be cautious with that.

  3. The Fix for Orazio and You: To bring the tabs back, simply put your pointer on the grey bar, click, hold, and drag it up. You can drag up as far as you want.

Here’s a visual breakdown for easy reference:

Step Action Note
1 Identify the grey bar Look for the two-headed arrow
2 Click and hold the grey bar Drag it up or down
3 Avoid dragging too far It might block the tabs
4 Drag the grey bar up Bring the tabs back into view

Conclusion

That’s all there is to it! Now, you can see the tabs again. This might seem like a minor thing, but it can be a significant inconvenience if you don’t know how to fix it. Hopefully, this guide helps you if you ever run into this issue with Act 6.0. Have a great day, and I hope all is well! Bye now.
