Many people reach out to me for fast, reliable technical support for Act CRM. If you bought a new computer, upgraded Windows, or need to move Act Pro or Act Premium to another system, I can help. Older perpetual versions can be tricky to reinstall, back up, or restore. I will guide you step by step until you are back up and running.
With more than 28 years of hands-on experience, I have seen nearly every Act error and compatibility issue. I also help set up synchronization between Act Premium Cloud and desktop, recover data from older versions, and sort out upgrade paths.
Upgrade or Buy Act CRM
If you are still using Act Pro or an older Act Premium, you may hit problems with new computers or Windows updates. Perpetual versions are no longer supported. Today, Act is subscription based with two main options: Act Premium desktop and Act Premium Cloud. I will help you understand the benefits of upgrading to Act Premium Cloud, or using both desktop and cloud together with data synchronized.
Considering Alternatives
Many people look for alternatives because they do not want a subscription. I talk to users daily who think Act is only web based. That is not true. Act Premium desktop is still available, and you can combine it with Act Premium Cloud for the best of both worlds. Before you switch, I will show you what Act can do today and whether staying with Act is the better choice.
Act Premium Cloud Synchronization
Act lets you use both Act Premium Cloud and Act Premium desktop together. Synchronization keeps your database up to date in both places. If you are unsure which version to use, start with the cloud. We make a backup of your database, upload it to a free trial, and you are on your way. I will circle back during the trial, teach you how to use Act in a web browser, and recommend browser settings. I also have more than 750 Act videos if you prefer self paced learning.
Cloud adds features not in desktop, including built in quoting, an online calendar, website forms, and more. Pricing guide: Act Premium Cloud standard pricing is 360. Act Premium desktop standard pricing is 468. Both together with synchronization is 480. That 480 is 360 for cloud plus 120 for synchronization services. The difference between desktop only at 468 and both together at 480 is only 12. If you are upgrading, there is typically an approximate 60 discount per license in the first year.
